Kremlin says Russia is interested in negotiations despite striking Ukraine
(MENAFN) Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Thursday that Russia remains open to negotiations with Ukraine even as its military continues strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure. Peskov emphasized that Russian attacks target only military and related facilities, while Ukrainian attacks often hit civilian sites in Russia.
He clarified that no agreements on an air ceasefire have been made, responding to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s suggestion that such a pause could help resolve the conflict. Peskov reiterated a dual-track approach: Russia’s military objectives continue to be met, but Moscow is also pursuing political-diplomatic channels to achieve its goals.
