Houthis fire new rockets at Israel

(MENAFN) Houthi group released a statement on Sunday that the they had fired a hypersonic ballistic rockets (which is a kind of missile that uses projectile motion to deliver warheads on a target) toward Ben Gurion Airport in the middle of Israel. However, it was allegedly blocked by Israeli defense systems previously during the day.

Houthi military representative, Yahya Sarea, stated in an announcement televised by Houthi-led media that “the rocket forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport, using a hypersonic ballistic missile.”

Sarea stated the Houthi would "continue enforcing a ban on air traffic to and from Ben Gurion Airport," in reference to constant Houthi assaults that have made many airlines to postpone or redirect flights to dodge missile attacks aiming at Israel.

Previously in the day, the Israeli defense forces said on X, previously known as Twitter, that sirens had rung across Israel after a "projectile" was sent from Yemen.
