Russia Hits Ukraine with 355 Drones in Intense Night Attack

(MENAFN) Russian forces unleashed a record-breaking wave of 355 drones targeting Ukraine overnight from Sunday into Monday, marking the third significant aerial offensive in as many days, a news outlet reported, citing Ukrainian Air Force data.

The Ukrainian military confirmed that air defenses successfully neutralized 233 drones through direct fire, while 55 additional drones either vanished from radar screens or were jammed by electronic warfare systems.

In addition to the drone barrage, Russia deployed nine cruise missiles, all of which Ukrainian forces intercepted and destroyed. The projectiles targeted five separate locations, while debris from the downed drones impacted 10 other sites, the Air Force stated.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its forces intercepted and eliminated 110 Ukrainian drones over multiple regions, including 13 above the Moscow area, during the same overnight period.
