Major Gang Leader Gets Arrested in Virginia
The suspect, aged 24, whose identity has not been disclosed, was detained in Woodbridge, located just south of Washington, DC, based on a news agency.
Officials confirmed that the individual is ranked among the top three leaders of the gang in the United States.
"Just captured a major leader of MS-13," President Donald Trump shared on his Truth Social platform, praising his border czar Tom Homan and referring to him as a "superstar."
Trump also congratulated Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for their "great job."
Bondi declared that the Department of Justice "will not rest until we make America safe again."
The operation involved the FBI, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as well as local law enforcement agencies.
This operation follows the March 18 arrest in Mexico of another senior MS-13 leader, Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, also known as Veterano de Tribus.
